Tenbury Amateur Operatic Society in the beautiful countryside of Worcester/Hereford/Shropshire borders, perform annually - the first full week after Easter - and want you to join them.

We need people over 19 years of age:

  • singers - especially men,
  • dancers,
  • set builders,
  • stage crew,
  • people who can help clear up the stage and changing rooms after the weeks' performances,
  • directors / producers: either experienced or willing to learn
  • people who want to be part of a team of enthusiastic music lovers.
This is a great way to unwind after a hard day's stressful work.

Currently we put on G&S even years and other productions in odd years.

It would be lovely to have the cast to be adventurous and put on modern shows too.

2010 Show information can be found on the Worcestershire Where Can We Go site

We are also working with Tenbury High School: helping them to put on a production of Disney's High School Musical.  Detailed information about this show can be found on Where Can We Go.

Normal rehearsal nights are Thursday from September - show week

We rehearse at Burford Village Hall from 7.30pm until around 9.30pm.  The autumn is used to learn the songs so that we can go straight into the staging of the event after Christmas  There is no need to read music as long as you can carry a tune.

We perform in the beautifully decorated art-deco Regal Theatre.
